Simone Grayson was born in 1940 in Alexandria, Egypt. In her interview she remembers having the only telephone in her block of flats, which her neighbours would use as they wished. She described the shock of having to leave Egypt in 1956. On arrival in the UK Simone enrolled in Birmingham University. After living in Scotland for some years, Simone and her husband settled in London. This was an audio interview.
