Regina Iskenazi was born 1928 in Wad Medani, Sudan. In her interview she spoke about the close relationship between Jews and non-Jews in Wad Medani and about going to synagogue and the Jewish Club in Khartoum. She worked in secretarial roles throughout her life, in Khartoum, the Ivory Coast - where she moved with her husband and children in 1967 and in London, where the family settled in 1971.
