Jacqueline was born in 1929 in Baghdad, Iraq. Jacqueline wanted to study to become a pharmacist but she could not pass her entrance examinations because she was Jewish. However, she was determined to work before getting married and she became an accountant clerk. After her marriage, she continued to work for the same company until she left Iraq in 1971.
